WATCH: Inside the Next Civil Rights Movement and The Grassroots Fight For a Right to a Quality Education
Across the country there鈥檚 a growing, passionate movement to enshrine educational equity in law 鈥� led by activists aiming to create a new constitutional right to quality schools.
Thus far, it鈥檚 a grassroots fight that鈥檚 been playing out primarily in states, with the goal of expanding and sharpening state constitutions to better protect students and families. In a recent panel discussion organized by both 社区黑料 and the Progressive Policy Institute鈥檚 Reinventing America鈥檚 Schools Project, we hosted advocates who spoke about the escalating movement 鈥� as well as tools that parents can use to demand change in their own districts as well.
